Small does not mean informal
A site with one technologist needs the same explicit handoffs as a metropolitan department, just fewer of them.
Staff should know how to mark an exam complete, recognize a failed or partial transfer, attach authorized context, and ask for help through an approved channel. The reading side should know the origin and the expected report destination. A synthetic study tests all of it. The report has to come back up the hill

Where a referring office runs a different system, that interface needs its own validation rather than an assumption.

Does remote reading bring an imaging machine closer?
No. The patient still needs an appropriate acquisition site and local clinical support. Teleradiology concerns interpretation of the completed images.
We are a small site with one technologist. Is that too small to connect?
Size is not the gate. Authorization, a tested route, monitoring, a report destination, and a named contact on each side are. A one-technologist site can meet all of that, as long as it is written down rather than carried in somebody’s head. Whether any particular site fits a given arrangement is a separate contracting question.
What happens when image series are missing?
The workflow should flag the incomplete transfer and name secure contacts. A reader should not have to assume that an incomplete set is a finished exam.
Can the report go to an office outside San Sebastián?
It can follow a destination authorized and configured with the facility. Location by itself grants no access to a report.
